Mousling Tomb Raider

My wife hasn't much time to paint anymore, but when she does, a little magic happens every time :-)

R2 Paint Rack - RN Estudio

After a long search I finally found the ideal storing system for my paints: the 'R2 Paint Rack' from the Spanish RN Estudio. Compact, light (wood) and holds 33 paint bottles plus brushes. Two is (for the time being) enough :-)

Cthulhu Egg - Scibor Monstrous Miniatures

For a while now, I have the feeling that the best and most original miniature designers are from Poland. Just take a look at 'Kromlech', 'Siren' and of course 'Scibor'.

Scibors' miniatures are a very high quality resin, excuisitely detailed and - in comparison with e.g. GW - resonably prised. Every two weeks you can profit from special offers up to  -30%.

This 'Cthulhu Egg' I find without a doubt fantatic. The detail is fenomenal. But...it is a hard model to paint. The 'egg' is cast in one piece that can cause some difficult painting spells along the way...;-)

I have tried to avoid the traditional' colours and go for a somewhat more daring pallete. This is the result.

Ursula, Dwarven Bear Rider (Reaper Bones)

My wife will take part in a painting competition of 'Reaper Miniatures'. Every participant has to paint the same model: 'Ursula, Dwaven Bear Rider'.

I made a nice base from sculping foam, static grass, leftovers en a little imagination :-). This is the result.

Oude boeken - Vintage books

I love books, especially vintage books .I found this one - 'The World of Music' -  in a second hand bookshop. It's a lexicon of classical music. It's is a beautiful, limited edition from 1958 of the 'Sphinx' publishing house (Brussels). The 2410 pages, 3,5 kg heavy book is bound in magogany and leather and was dedicated to Queen Elisabeth of Belgium. I have number 722 of 2500 copies.

The book describes about everything concerning classical music (till 1958): Composers, musical pieces, instruments ect... The many illustrations concist beautiful pictures, photos and engravings

I took this book home for a mere 15 euros. It has now a honorary plase in my library.
