Lord of the Rings Helm collection - Sauron

Zoals eerder al gezegd: ik ben een verzamelaar. Begin jaren 2000 kwam de voor mij levenslang verwachte trilogie 'The Lord of the Rings' eindelijk op het zilveren scherm. Het inmiddels tien jaar oude epos staat rotsvast in mijn top-tien beste films aller tijden. Samen met de film werd de markt overspoeld met allerlei gadgets en verzamelobjecten... ik geef toe... niet allemaal even smaakvol...

 

Maar gelukkig was er  Weta, de mensen achter  de special effects, decors, kostuums en noem maar op, die onder andere een reeks replica's van de helmen op de markt bracht, schaal 1/4, gegoten in metaal en meestal gelimiteerd in oplage.

 

Dit is mijn verzameling (part 1): Sauron - Helm en strijdknots.

 

 

 

 As I mentioned earlier, I am a collector. In the early years 2000, the long expected 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy finally came to the silver screen. The (already) ten year old epic is one of my favourite movies of all times. Together with the movie, the market was overflowed with gadgets and collector items... not all equally tasteful I must say.

 

Fortunately there was Weta, the guys behind special effects, costumes, scenery etc..., who, among other great stuff, brought us replicas from the helmets (scale 1/4) from the movie, all metal and mostly limited.

This is my collection (part 1): Sauron - Helm and mace.
