TT Combat Dice Tower... personalized.
Some board games take the whole surface of the table (see FFG :-) ). Then it becomes somewhat difficult to roll e.g ten dice without knocking over something. That's why the game gods invented the dice tower.
This is the tower from 'TT Combat', but than a little personalized :-)...
I grabbed my trusty hobby knife, pencil, paint and brushes, felt, double sided tape, mod podge and some pictures. This is the result.

Antediluvian miniatures (Citadel) - Voorhistorische miniaturen (Citadel)
Recently I discovered these prehistoric 28mm miniatures at the bottom of a box. They are really ancient, I guess early 80ties and (presumably) from Citadel Miniatures. These must have been among the first models that I've painted - in a rather shoddy way :-) - back in '87. This is pure nostalgia, back from the golden days of old, when Games Workshop wasn't a corporate giant monster reeling in the big money.
I'm glad I found them again.

The Doom that Came to Atlantic City - Review
Voor Nederlandse tekst scroll naar beneden
'The Doom that came to Atlantic City' (see link) is a Monopoly-ish game where you take the role of a Great Old One and instead of creating an empire, you destroy houses and resorts and create gates to bring doom and terror over the unfortunate town.
To establish all this eldritch horror, you get the aid of 'Providence' cards, that give you bonuses in movement, attack or defense, powerful Chants, which require certain sacrifices, Doom and Gate cards with even more power and last but not least... mysterious Tomes.
It's all about destruction and mayhem and the end of the world, and driving your opponents mildly insane, but in a very light hearted and fun way.
Like Monopoly, the game is about moving around the board, but there the comparison stops. The theme and spirit of 'Doom' is about fun, not about grinding teeth because your opponent bought all the best streets and you have to pay yourself blind... Personally I like Doom a lot more because it's fast paced, easy to learn, and a great 'in-between'.
My score: 7/10

Mijn score: 7/10
